Three Wins: Being Present, Being Aware, and Your “Perfect Sixteen”

Every week, I end up having powerful conversations with leaders just like you that guide me to new insights, challenge my thinking, and elevate my mindset.

Here are three highlights from the past week…

  1. The quality of your connection requires both people, not just one. When you’re sharing space in a conversation, be present where your feet are, listen actively, and work hard to bring good, authentic energy to the other person.
  2. Think about your “Perfect 16.” Say, for example, that you spend sixteen hours a day awake. Spend some time defining what your “Perfect 16” looks like. When we invest time imagining our perfect day and defining what it includes, we can start to build our lives around making it a reality. No, you may not be able to live your perfect day every day, but you’ll equip yourself to start including elements of your perfect day in every day.
  3. Awareness is a double-edged sword. Developing your awareness will help you see many things in your life, including a few that you may not like or need to change. On the one hand, it will show you some areas where you are crushing it. On the other hand, awareness will help you see where you have gaps to fill. The good news? We all have gaps to fill.

BONUS: Find your pack. If you think you’re going to make it through as a lone wolf, you are wrong. Who we surround ourselves with matters more than we think. Find that crew of people who you can celebrate with, share the challenges with, and get real with. This is a basic human need for connection that we all have.

Share this with someone who needs it today!
