Three more insights from the past week, picked up in conversations with leaders like you. This week is all about vision and taking action…

  1. The biggest challenge you’ve faced in life is what has prepared you to make your greatest impact. Lean into these past storms and challenges you’ve overcome and look for ways to share your experience with others who are in the storm right now.
  2. Tie feeling to your vision. Whatever your vision is for your future, spend time each day closing your eyes and imagining what it will feel like to be living in that vision. Tapping into the future feeling will help you keep doing the work when you want to quit.
  3. Plant your tree today. The best time to plant a tree? 50 years ago. The second best time? Today. Instead of regretting what you didn’t do yesterday or twenty years ago, focus on what you can do right now. Then, take action.

BONUS: There’s a cost to making bold moves and a cost to NOT making bold moves. Choosing the safe route is always more comfortable because our brain is wired to protect us. The safe route, however, comes with its own costs. By choosing not to take risks, we eliminate the opportunities that come with the greatest rewards. The result? We live life but are never truly alive. Make your decisions based on possibilities, not your fears and the barriers.
